| I was lucky enough to get a seat on the mainline test run of 55022 from Barrow Hill to Newcastle (Heaton). On the way, we stopped at York to return 55002 to the NRM (which meant a long wait in the stock in Holgate sidings). 47703 was also in the consist up to York and then followed to Heaton and back to York, where it was hooked on the back. A long day for the mileage, but one which will alweays be remembered. |
